Parents like us should be aware that overweight kids are
prone to developing “adult” conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes. When
it comes to keeping kids weight healthy and lessen the risk of obesity, these ways
are easy and will help a lot.
An ideal is more servings
of water and less sweet added sugar drink. Keep 100% natural fruit juice for up to 4 to 6 oz servings daily. Let your
kid play actively for at least one
hour most of the week. Running around outside, playing tag, involvement in
sports like basketball or go biking are activities best for kids.

Mentioned ways are just simple yet contribute a huge impact
on your child’s healthy weight. Actually, my little man’s weight is over to his
age and that’s already alarming for me. I’m in the process of practicing these
ways to keep his weight balance before everything is too late especially that
high blood pressure and diabetes runs in the family.

Well said Mommy, it's cute when a child is chubby but not to the extent that they are over weight so it is important to monitor their weight and watch what they eat.
ReplyDeleteit is so true, alarming rate of obesity in children + juvenile diabetes is due to the fact that mums simply feed their little ones unhealthy food items. at home, we are steering clear of colored drinks and give only natural fruit juices and yogurt drink {in moderation} to my little man.
ReplyDeleteHealthy kids are pride and joy to parents. There's nothing more stressful than seeing a little one or any love on feel down and low.
ReplyDeleteMommies should really be thinking about the possible consequences of their children being overweight. We could love them more by ensuring that they are eating healthy and having enough physical activity.
ReplyDeleteoh my, high blood also run in my hubby's side of the family, that's why he and my in-laws are always careful with what they eat. The children picked up this carefulness but we still need to work on our physical activities. like you said, it's good to run outside and play.
ReplyDeleteMy kids used to be chunky when they were little, I was scared that they will become obese, but at age 3 they started losing weight because they move so much. Now, both my girls are slim and my 10 year old is a little chunk due to being inactive. As long as we know that we are not giving them too much sugar, or food, we don't worry about them being obese. We know when to stop giving them sweet and feeding them unhealthy food.
ReplyDeletei do agree :D let them loose that's one way of trimming down. Kids has all kinds of anergy and let them make good use of it.
